The Certificate III in Individual Support qualification is considered as the minimum industry standard for working within residential aged care facilities, or for providing person-centered support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
Applicants with no formal qualifications and who are commencing within or have experience with older persons within a Community Services industry may also be considered for entry into the Course.
Additional Requirements:
All applicants are required to submit to a Federal Police background check (name check) before commencement of the learners' work placement.
Applicants must be physically capable of doing general lifting and be prepared to be on their feet for long stretches of time.
